So you may be wondering what the point of this site is; and to be honest it really doesn't have one. I wanted my own domain simply for the e-mail account. I do like to fiddle casually with web design; I do know basic html, css, some asp, and I've recently discovered a little php (using mysql). As it stands this site houses a small piece of software I made a while back, a blog, a psychological experiment (my second year project), and a working login system! The experiment repertoire may increase, as I do like the idea of reinventing interesting experiments I come accross for computers and/or the web.
So I have a blog. It's amazing and everything; and has recently been rewritten. Below you can see some of the amazing things I rant about. If you click the headings of any of those little sections below you can read the entire post. For the entire selection of random rants and such, click the link.

So back in October of last year EA shat out what they polished up to be marketed as nothing short of a masterpiece. Built on a top=end games engine, featuring massive playable areas, destructible buildings, pilot-able vehicles, and a vast arsenal. This, of course, was Battlefield 3.
Now leading up to its release I was rather excited about this game. Granted modern FPS games have unfortunately taken an arrow to the iron sights, and online gaming is plagued with glitch-happy bunny-hopping children; but after playing the beta for BF3 I was convinced it was a remarkable game far beyond the offe...
Remember the days when finding out what your friends had been up to meant you'd meet up to chat, or at the very least, phone each other? The sad thing is that for today's younger generation the answer would be "no". These days it seems it's possible to maintain an array of complex friendships without leaving your home thanks to the, albeit not new but still, features of social networking.
Let me start by saying I do think the concept of social networking and sharing is great. We are a social species, and with advances in technology come advances (or alterations) in the ways we communicate w...
A while ago now I made a little program in Visual Basic. It basically shuts down (or restarts / logs off) your local Windows PC after a preset time period. I figured it a useful feature when I found Vista's native ability was limited to something stupid; 10 minutes I think.

Dean's Crap is a super special secret section. If you don't know what it is, then you have no need to click the link. You do have to log in, so it's really not worth it!

I realised I didn't mention my pride and joy on my site! I spend what is probably an unhealthy percentage of my time using or tinkering with my... computer (tut tut to the filthy minded of you out there). I feel the need to share my spec, and seeing as this is my site, I shall do just that! It's a CoolerMaster CM960 nVidia Edition case, a Core i5 2500K @ 3.3GHz (only running at stock for now, need to get hold of a cooler). I've got 8 GB RipjawsX DDR3. And the heart of my games- a 1024MB GDDR5; nVidia GTX 560 Ti. I've got that hooked up to a 32" LG LCD TV, a Sherwood A/V Receiver, and a pair of Eltax Monitor Speakers. I'm also gaming with a Razer Mamba mouse, and I've just ordered a Cyborg PC V.7 keyboard! It's a nice setup! :D
So I'm a psychology student... I work part-time. I could go on but I see little point. This site exists pretty much because I wanted my own name as my e-mail domain; and it gives me a chance to fiddle around with html and css. If you do feel the need to investigate me further, here are links to me around the web.
